Experienced, Trauma Informed Support.

Hi, I'm Martin Sanderson, following 22 years of frontline experience, across Schools, Social Work and managing Children's Homes, I setup the Learning Culture in 2025, providing training, support and Reg44/25 Independent Person Visits.

I am an experienced Reg44/25 visitor. I have worked with a huge range of provisions, including Local Authorities, Private Providers and Secure Homes.

With a massive interest in developing safe Trauma Responsive spaces for young people, I am passionate about Relational and Trauma Informed Approaches with young people.

I have particular expertise working with most vulnerable young people, vulnerable to contextual risk, including exploitation, youth violence, online risk and harmful sexual development.

I developed the Learning Culture Reg44/25 approach to provide clear, evidenced based, trauma informed, analytical reporting, built on open and honest relationships, to drive forward outcomes for young people.

Our Impact

2025 was a fantastic year, we started The Learning Culture. Over the the course of 12 months, we were able to establish relationships with 12 homes, committed to an open Learning Culture across Yorkshire, Humber and The North East.

In 2026 we are going to be able to support a small number of homes, who are committed to developing safe, trauma informed care for young people.
